I've been fascinated by North Korea for a few years now. Over the past 5 years or so, when I have "down-time" and don't feel like watching regular TV I watch online videos or read news stories about North Korea. I've come to realize that the level of brainwashing at work in that country may be on the largest scale ever in my lifetime (2nd only to that of the brainwashed masses across the globe that buy into the "global warming" hoax).
I believe the leaders (past & present) of North Korea were/are brainwashed - so, in my opinion, all that North Korea amounts to is "the brainwashed leading the brainwashed". I'm sure there are exceptions to the opinion I just stated. I believe there are ALWAYS exceptions to every "rule". However, I do believe that the vast majority of the people in the country are nothing but brainwashed, denied information, starving, & have zero freedom. I also understand that a certain number of the people of North Korea know that they have to "go along to get along" in order to remain alive. But the fact that so many of them "go along" is where the brainwashing on a mass-scale comes into effect.
They are not allowed access to information other than that generated by their own government. They have very little food. They have no right to ask for, much less demand, anything. The few that have attempted to simply survive by relying on their own ingenuity, for example, by hopping across the border into China to earn money or to gather food, they and three generations of their family are imprisoned upon their return to North Korea...often never to be seen or heard from again. No one knows whether they are languishing in the numerous concentration camps currently in operation within the country or if they were killed.
The style of propaganda that comes out of North Korea is nothing BUT laughable. I would think that the attempts by North Korea to "control the message" of those that are allowed to visit North Korea would be embarrassing to those truly skilled in the creation of the art of propaganda OR that of brainwashing. (Numerous examples of propaganda and attempts to "control the message" are contained in the 2 different documentaries included at the end of this article.)
Yet, the United Nations, the United States, and other countries think they can control North Korea with "sanctions" as it threatens the world with the use of nuclear weapons. Perhaps our own (U.S.) government is more brainwashed & susceptible to propaganda than I've ever previously considered...?
After all, if you attempt to control "crazy" what does that make you?

November of 2005: Two friends and I are sitting at the bar in our low-crime-rate city at The 5th Street Tavern after work on a mid-Saturday afternoon when a man opens the bar's front door and yells "I've been shot! Call 911!" My friends and I turn our heads and look at the man standing in the doorway and recognize him as the owner of the barbershop next door. We know of the "strained relationship" he's had in the past with The 5th Street Tavern in which we are currently sitting.
At first everyone in the bar thinks he is making some sort of odd joke...then, some of us realize it's NOT a joke when we see the blood dripping from his stomach. At the same time as our realization that he's NOT joking he closes the front door to the bar and goes back to his barbershop, next door. I and the proprietor of the bar follow him into his business where he had just been robbed at gunpoint (which we didn't know) and shot in the stomach for trying to defend himself by grabbing the gun of a would-be-thief. The gun went off and struck Dick Adams, the owner of Dick's Barbershop, in his stomach. One of the bar patrons calls 911.
The owner of the barber shop, Dick Adams is stumbling around looking for the pieces of his shattered cellphone amidst the shards of his large broken "barbershop mirror" (a big, thick mirror) when the only two of us that went to help him, Paula and I, enter his business. It appeared to us as though the mirror had been shot. Dick was searching for the pieces of his cellphone amongst the shattered remains of his mirror on the floor of his shop while his blood is dripping out of his stomach all over his tile floor. He knew his cellphone had been shattered when he threw it at the thief...but, he was still trying to pick up its pieces and make a call to 911. We assure him that 911 has been called. We also know he is bleeding quite a bit and that we should do whatever we can to stop it. While Paula searches for his barbershop towels, I make him sit down in one of his vinyl-covered "customer chairs" and assure him that the "first responders" are on their way. Paula finds his towels and Dick holds them against his own stomach while the "first responders" have yet to arrive.
The Fire Department is physically located 2 BLOCKS from his business...yet, it takes, what SEEMS like about 10-15 minutes for them to "respond first" to the scene (it realize that it was probably only about 7 minutes or so - but WAAAY too long for a Fire House that was only 2 blocks away - I understand the situation as someone who has listened to a scanner for 20 yrs - I know how things go - but, it was way too long for a response to a shooting in a town our size, in my opinion).
I had to "make" the shooting victim sit down by physically holding my hand on his shoulder until the police and ambulance arrived - while explaining to him that "the ambulance must have been out at the hospital which was across town and just over 2 miles away" (through "city traffic" - in a town of 25K). *drip drip* "I know it seems like they should be here by now. *drip drip* They were probably 'all the way' out at the hospital and it's going to be a few minutes before they can get here. *drip* They must be coming all the way from the hospital. *drip drip* Hang on. *drip* You're doing just fine. *drip drip* Just stay seated until they get here." *drip* (Then THEY can make you sit down!)
To this day I STILL can't believe how CALM I was. I was helping a bleeding, "gut-shot" shooting victim survive (he was shot twice in the stomach). It was surreal.
Paula later recalled the 18-year-old gunman riding his bike past her mere minutes earlier, from in-between the two buildings, as she was outside depositing the trash from the bar. At that very moment, she had no idea that he'd just shot the man that had ran the next-door business for the past 30 years or so. She tossed a bag of garbage into a dumpster and a kid on a bike rode past her...no big deal. At the time.
The police never did speak to me that day...anymore than they had spoken to any of the other bar patrons, that is. Even though I was one of two first responders to the scene (Paula & I). The police (Detective Donnie Thorson) had come into the bar (after they'd arrived on the scene and told us to leave the scene) to gather the names of witnesses and us two "FIRST RESPONDERS" (Paula & I). Detective Thorson told me that I'd need to stop by the police division "later" (I should call first) so they could take imprints of my shoes (because I'd been on the scene and they'd need to eliminate my shoe prints in evidence). I called the police division a few hours later to see if they were ready to take those impressions of my shoes. No one at the PD had a clue to what I was referring. (What the hell else did they have going on that day???) They checked with the detectives and determined that the impressions of my shoes wouldn't be necessary after all. It seemed as though they had captured the suspect after a Nebraska State Patrol helicopter had helped to locate the suspect who had been hiding within the downtown area (or so I heard) - yes, this was a "big deal" for our little town...at the time...(it's funny what you remember more than 8-years after-the-fact, isn't it?)
It'd be true to say that this, by far, wasn't the only gun crime that had affected our "little" town of 25,000 (I come from a town of 400), but it was the most recent...and the most-personal, for me. September 26, 2002 3 ignorant loons entered a bank here and extinguished 5 souls...and got away with no money. It is regarded as ONE of the deadliest bank shootings in all of American history. Usually "bank robbers" want money. All the fools on this day got were 5 souls (and 3 "death sentences" - they're still alive - a 4th, who was their "lookout", is serving life).
What is the point of this post, you ask?
I just wanted to tell my story as a FIRST RESPONDER to a gun crime. I wonder if the SECOND RESPONDERS (police & rescue/ambulance) have a different story from that shooting on that day on which I was a witness? I just told you my story. Paula, as the other FIRST RESPONDER, may have a different recollection (but it wouldn't be much different - it's been a couple years since her and I have discussed it). I'd love for her to share it in the comments below. One thing that I know is that I was never personally thanked by Dick Adams for my actions that day. As far as I know, he's never heard my name. That's a bit disheartening, but, hey...I behaved in a manner that most in the bar that day (including my two friends) didn't. That's worth something. I hope that someone like Paula or myself would be present if family or friends of mine were ever shot.......and THEY needed a FIRST RESPONDER.
When "life happens", those of us that are present are the FIRST RESPONDERS. We all should be able to handle/deal with such an event. More of us should carry guns...as they did in the Wild West. There was far less gun crime when everyone carried a gun...and didn't have to pay $300.00 to be able to do so.

It is irresponsibility at it's finest for YOU to NOT protect YOURSELF. Who are YOU to put YOUR PROTECTION on the shoulders of someone ELSE??? YOU have a DUTY to guard your OWN LIFE. It's selfish of you to think that others SHOULD protect you. YOU want to live? Protect YOURSELF!!! Don't wait 10-minutes for the police to respond to the crime that has been committed against you. I love the police. But, they're there to RESPOND. Which is why THEY are called "first responders"...not us.

The nasty anti-Palin blog known as "The Immoral Minority" has a lot of traffic. Why is that? Is it just because the the "leader" of that pack (Gryphen) has a good sense of humor (depending on your tolerance level) and knows how to connect with those that understand "sharing" a blog post or is it because he/she is a nasty-ass individual who has garnered a following of like-minded cretins (who know how to share a blog post)? I'll presume that it's the latter. And, I must say, it makes me sick to my stomach.
Right now I'm listening to the "live Feedjit feed" (you have to "turn sounds on" after you click on the link in order to "listen") that is attached to The Immoral Minority blog. I happened upon a "Sarah Palin story" via somewhere on the internet...who cares where...and I clicked on the live Feedjit feed that is associated with the blog. It amazes me that someone who can pass along such hate and disdain for another individual can gain so much traction...and web traffic. HATE, REAL hate is ALIVE AND WELL IN AMERICA and it is evidenced by that nasty-ass blog.
My blog, the one you're reading now, is a teeny tiny example for you to use as a comparison of the aforementioned blog...but, if you're curious, turn on the sounds on my blog's live Feedjit feed. You'll notice a scary difference to that of the feed on The Immoral Minority...if you agree with me, that is. If not...if you don't agree with me, you'll like the sounds you hear from my blog...in comparison my live feed sounds more like crickets chirping. Keep sharing, conservatives. You've got this game down PAT! (Sarcasm is my friend, btw.)
Tonight I wound up on The Immoral Minority's waste-of-bandwidth website by clicking on something somewhere that linked to a story about Sarah Palin...who had given a speech at an event to benefit the Terry Schiavo Life & Hope Network. How AWFUL of Sarah, right? Right? What a bitch! (I'm purposefully NOT providing you a link to their story. You want to read that tripe? Google it.)
The very blog you're on now has been the subject of an Immoral Minority story in the past...a couple times. Of course, their linking to my blog generated much (unwanted) traffic to my own blog. Quantity, not quality, is what was passed my way. Oh well, a "page view" is a page view...so, thank you you losers for linking to my blog in the past. But, I digress.
You people that frequent the Immoral Minority have got to be some of the most lecherous "humans" on the planet. No, you're not outwardly (at least, not yet) supporting the deaths of 100's of thousands, if not millions, of others...but, I suspect/know that it wouldn't take much for the likes of you to reach the point at which you would. (Your kind outwardly supports the political ideologies that have killed the most humans throughout history - socialism/communism/Marxism. Your very president supports many of those same principles.) You folks make me sick.

Last night while in one of the closed (aka, inaccessible unless you are a member) Facebook groups of which I am a member, I participated in a discussion about whether or not it is Conservatives or Liberals who are actually "winning" online and about the supposed "censorship of Conservatives" by Facebook. I, a Conservative, contend that Facebook does NOT censor the posts of Conservatives. Below is the long reply I had to the mild insinuation by another member (who tolerates me well and shall remain unnamed here by me) that Facebook may be censoring Conservatives. (By the way, I had to post it as two separate comments because there is an 8,000-character limit on ALL Facebook comments.) It's now 3:20AM, I have to work in 4 hours, and I'm not going to edit the entire comment I just left on Facebook for purposes of posting it here on my blog. I'm posting it here essentially as I posted it just minutes ago posted it on Facebook.

I'm going to be frank & hold nothing back here (this will be loooooooooong):
I'm SOOOOOOO SICK & TIRED of hearing this crap from conservatives!!! It's been going on for the past FOUR YEARS!!! Will it only STOP when an "republican" is in the damned white house again???
There are ALGORITHMS & "Anti-SPAM" technology that ALL of these damned companies (Google, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) use for implementing ALL of their "security measures". The fact that there are a SIGNIFICANT number of people in the conservative movement that ACTUALLY BELIEVE that Facebook, with their BILLION USERS, is actually MONITORING the posts of a FEW (relative to the BILLION users on Facebook) is downright embarrassing and disappointing.
IF you really want to know WHY so many conservative posts get flagged, it's because THE LIBERALS ARE FLAGGING THEM!!! Which is ONE OF THE REASONS I KEEP SAYING THAT WE'RE LOSING THE ONLINE BATTLE.
In the algorithms that these companies use, once a post has been flagged enough times (by the a$$holes on the left that DETEST an opposing point of view & believe that THEY are the ONLY ONES that should be able to express their opinions freely) it is "reported" or "marked as spam" (for lack of a better way to explain it - think of my explanation here as a "remedial" understanding/explanation of how this stuff works) and from that point on, once a post (a link) has been "flagged" or "marked", ANYTIME someone posts it (doesn't matter WHO posts it, they can be "restricted" for sharing SPAM by Facebook (or Twitter, or YouTube, or wherever)!
IT IS NOT THE CONTENT of the post. It is the DETECTION SOFTWARE/ALGORITHM THAT FACEBOOK and OTHERS are using that is the problem!!! (And, with them constantly being accused of censoring us, what the hell motivation do they really have to be "good actors" and FIX THE DAMNED PROBLEM??? Yes, that's a piss-poor excuse for them to NOT fix it. NO, I'm NOT making excuses for them. But, if YOU ran this company & were CONSTANTLY being accused of things you weren't doing, how motivated would YOU be to FIX it? I wouldn't be AT ALL.)
The long & the short of it is this: Liberals don't have to be TOLD to "report" something. Liberals don't have to be told HOW to report something. They see something with which they disagree and THEY REPORT IT!!! That's why there are so many MORE conservative postings that get brought to the attention of Facebook due to all the repeated reporting/flagging...for which those conservatives who then share those posts get punished. The same thing happens on YouTube. (I've not seen it personally on Twitter, but I'll bet my LIFE that the EXACT SAME THING happens there...and on every other social networking site that is in existence.) You just wait until the liberals inundate that new Tea Party site...they're going to have one hell of a time figuring out how to handle those jerks.

I've not been to the new Tea Party social networking site because I want to wait until they get all of their "bugs" worked out before I join it - it's still in its "beta" version - I want to wait a bit yet to join - maybe posts CAN'T be "flagged" or "reported" over there - which will be a HUGE mistake if that's the case - all kinds of libs POSING as conservatives (to make conservatives look bad) will inundate that site and post all kinds of awful racist, sexist, anti-woman, (you know the drill) stuff...it would be an absolute NIGHTMARE to deal with withOUT some sort of an algorithm that helps the site in removing that kind of disgusting content......because, even with their 50,000 members, NO ONE has the TIME to PHYSICALLY "monitor" everything that is posted! (Which is WHY algorithms are used!)

Last time I was there (I don't even know it it still exists) it was over-run with birthers and people who bought into nearly every single conspiracy that exists. I HATE CONSPIRACIES, so I quit using it. There are ACTUAL THINGS that BO &/or his administration &/or Congress do on a daily basis that I don't WASTE MY TIME on conspiracies!!! And, I HATE seeing when others do!!! It's SUCH a WASTE!!!

If more conservatives would ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND HOW this stuff works online, they wouldn't be on the receiving end of all the "censorship", they'd be dishing it out (ie, reporting the left for their posts with which we disagree). OH, and one more thing...conservatives will have to become vindictive, evil, hateful, self-absorbed, whiny little bitches - in other words, they'd have to begin to ACT like liberals in order to begin "dishing it out" on Facebook & elsewhere. Trying to teach conservatives anything or lead conservatives ANYWHERE is like herding cats...so, good luck with that. I know this from the experience I gained in working with THIS GROUP.....WE QUESTION EVERYTHING. (Can't "teach" us...we have too many questions.) We FIND OUR OWN WAY to where we want to go. (Can't "lead" us...we already know how to get there.) Overall, it's a futile game trying to "organize" independent-thinking people. "Organizing" works VERY WELL with those on the left.....they don't have NEAR the questions that we do & they WANT SOMEONE TO TELL THEM WHAT TO DO! I think some of them actually LIVE for it - they WANT "Big Brother" showing them the way. We don't trust like that - it's not in our DNA - we know to question everything - we don't want someone telling us what to do - we'll figure it out for ourselves - we "doubt" those that say they have all the answers - we don't like someone who thinks they DO have all the answers; WE actually mock them; the left ANOINTS them.
I've come to all these conclusions based on the experiences that I'VE had online...both on Facebook & on YouTube. I've probably posted more on Facebook over the past 4 years than 95% of conservatives that are ON Facebook. (My personal posting record was 138 posts on the day of the Obamacare vote - yes, I went back & counted them!) Just for the record - I've NEVER been prohibited from making my postings on Facebook. The ONLY time I've ever had ANY kind of "restriction" from posting on Facebook was when I was doing postings for our Earthquake group - I'd been posting the SAME LINK over & over & over & over again on a FEW pages I hadn't "liked" PRIOR to my posting those links on ALL those pages (probably 10-15 pages or so). I got a "warning to slow down" - I "slowed down" (stopped for the night) & then resumed posting after a couple of days - AND, WHEN I RESUMED POSTING, I "LIKED" all the pages I wanted to post on PRIOR to posting on them - I NEVER saw that warning again. Others say they did. I didn't. At that time several other members in our group were doing more posting on Facebook pages than I.
I HAVE seen that "warning" when going around to all the GROUPS I'm in - after I'd complete a blog post I'd go to 10- 15 different GROUPS (not PAGES) on Facebook and post the same LINK & comment in EVERY GROUP.....sometimes I'd have to fill-out that "captcha" thingy - BECAUSE OF THE LINK I WAS POSTING. Didn't matter that it was a link to MY blog or a link to a video on MY YouTube channel (all videos on YouTube have the same kind of url - there is ZERO specificity as to WHICH YouTube CHANNEL a url comes from. Every video has this: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=" followed by the video ID which is made-up of a series of numbers & letters. If that same video is embedded on a website, that url looks like this: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=" again, followed by the video ID. There is NO WAY of telling WHAT YouTube channel posted ANY particular video - until you actually VISIT the link. So, there was NO "CENSORSHIP" (warning) of my postings by Facebook for THE CONTENT of what I was posting. I received the "warning" and had to fill out the "captcha" because of the repetitive posting of SAME LINK (whether it was from my blog OR from my YouTube channel).
But, no one had time to "report" or "flag" my postings because they were freshly-created links! Then WHY did I see the "captcha"? BECAUSE OF THE ALGORITHMS UTILIZED BY FACEBOOK - in my particular case, posting freshly-created urls, it was the ANTI-SPAM technology that Facebook utilizes. It had ZERO to do with my CONTENT!!! (They couldn't TELL what the CONTENT was of the links I was posting to my YouTube videos.) And, again, I was prevented ONE TIME (because I stopped posting ON MY OWN after seeing the "warning" because I didn't WANT to be blocked from posting by fb) out of the thousands & thousands of times I've posted on Facebook (because I was posting the same link over & over & over on pages I had not "liked" BEFORE I posted on them).
Bah. I'm done for tonight/this AM. If you have questions, ask. I gotta go to bed.
Facebook isn't censoring conservatives. Period.

A school board in Montpelier, Ohio has exhibited so much common sense over the past few days that Obama may have to issue an executive order just to deal with them. What did they do? They are allowing their 4 custodians (only) to carry handguns in their school.
I think arming school personnel is such a good idea - I've actually been thinking about this for months. If I had my way, any staff member of every school in the country could be armed. (And, if they don't pass the background check what are they doing working in our schools?) I don't want anyone to be forced to carry a gun - I just want those who work in schools who would be willing to protect the innocent to be allowed to do so. (I actually have an accompanying idea that would require the "lockdown" of the gun - on the person - of all that carry guns in schools to make them inaccessible to everyone but the carrier. I'm not ready to share that idea just yet...I may never be. If/when I am, I'll post it here.)
Until guns appear with multiple, properly-trained adults at random locations within schools, your children are sitting ducks in their government-approved "gun free zones". No matter HOW the politicians decide to infringe upon the 2nd Amendment in the coming days, criminals will ALWAYS have guns.
Even if NO ONE in a school is willing to carry a gun to protect the innocent there is still, at the very least, the possibility that these killers that live among us won't know which schools have armed personnel in them...which is more than we have now. That information should NEVER be broadcast...or available for "public consumption" following a Freedom Of Information Law (FOIL) request...as lib-rot site Gawker and The Journal News have recently broadcast lists of registered handgun owners following FOIL requests in the state of New York.
EVERY school in the country should have MULTIPLE mounted signs that state something similar to this:
Having only one uniformed, armed person in every school as the NRA and the Obama administration(Sen. Barbara Boxer suggested this idea to Obama's gun-blood-hound VP Biden - but, since Biden doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground, who besides Obama cares what Biden reports to him in a few days?) is such a stupid idea to me that it is a blatant waste of time to even discuss it...but, here goes (if I must):
One person with one gun in each school is such a pathetic waste because everyone in that school will know where the ONE gun is at most times. If an attacker is a student of that school, he'll know where and when to enter the building and begin the murdering. If one of the kids that attends that school wants to shoot it up, they'll know where the officer is...and who the officer is, even if the officer is not wearing a uniform.
If the officer is at the opposite end of the school from where a killer begins their killing, what good will that one officer be able to do? Unknown numbers of innocent victims could be murdered before that one person with that one gun could take out the murderer.
If an officer can't make it to work on a particular day (due to snow - please note that the supposed existence of ONE armed officer in this school did NOT deter this would-be killer), or is scheduled to not work or is sick on a particular day, again, your kids are still sitting ducks.
If Muslim savages (aka, "terrorists") take over a school here (remember 9/11 - they've attacked the U.S. before - they will again), as they did in Beslan, Russia, one armed officer will be of zero use. MANY armed personnel within a school may also be of zero use in a "Beslan-style" attack. Still, several or many guns have a better chance of having an effect on a group of terrorists than ONE gun does. Right now, with zero guns in schools to protect your kids, they stand zero chance. Almost 1 out of 4 hostages at the Beslan school were killed...more than 350 dead out of about 1200 hostages.
IF the officer IS wearing a uniform, that's who will be shot first. Then, again, there are "no guns" in your school...except of course for whichever guns the killer has most-likely illegally-obtained to carry out his massacre of innocents...even though the president and/or Congress told him not to.
There are many other reasons...I listed 5 above. Add your own below.
Of course, as soon as more guns appear in the hands of the good-guys in our schools, and the rate at which these idiotic school massacres occur declines, crazy people, who are hopped-up on God-only-knows which psychotropic medications, will simply attack all you "gun free" people in all other "gun free zones" in malls, restaurants, movie theaters, etc. Happy shopping.
One last note: If you think a "good guy with a gun" is not the solution to a "bad guy with a gun" who is attacking you and/or your children, by all means, DO NOT CALL THE POLICE if you are ever attacked!

LoHud.com, the website of The Journal News (TJN) that published an interactive map which includes the names and addresses of law-abiding handgun owners in Westchester and Rockland counties in the state of New York, ironically, is now ultra-worried with the "rights" of people who COMMENT on their website and on their Facebook page. The Journal News doesn't care so much about the right of a citizen to LEGALLY DEFEND themselves from bodily injury at the hand of a criminal (as long as you use a handgun to defend yourself, that is - knives, samurai swords, golf clubs, hammers, crossbows, forks, machetes, & banjos are apparently A-OK). BUT NOW The Journal News is going to be extra-vigilant in making sure you do as THEY wish online, too. They're going to make it "safe" for those who are currently "afraid" to comment to feel as though they can do so. And, they're going to block you from commenting if you don't behave. The Journal News has listed their TOS for you to peruse prior to posting your comments. (I found NOTHING on their website stating that they would publish your email, IP address, operating system, browser type, and a map to your house if you fail to abide by their rules...if you post nasty/stupid/ignorant/waste-of-time comments on this blog I, however, WILL do so.) ;)

While it is NOT a violation of someone's first amendment right to block them from posting a comment or to delete their comments from any online forum, it IS just a tad bit ironic coming from TJN since TJN has taken such a holier-than-thou attitude when dealing with what could create LIFE or DEATH situations for some of those they "outed" with their silly map stunt (police officers, crime/domestic abuse/stalking victims). The fact that TJN is now so seemingly concerned with the "tenor of the commentary" on their sites is downright laughable. While TJN has been dealing with some "real" threats this week...

"Bomb squad responds to suspicious package at Journal News editor's home"...as a result of their little map stunt, one would think that TJN would be more concerned with letting people have their say online...as opposed to making it necessary for people to begin sending in their comments via snail mail. Just a thought.
Yes, I was born on the 4th of July. (Clarification for liberals:) No, I wasn't literally born with a gun in my hand. I have lived with them and shot them all my life. I will continue to live with them and shoot them for the rest of my life. My right to do so was granted to me by a power higher than any mortal, Progressive "god".
I have NO doubt that it was written in stone long ago what will be done by the Progressives in this country regarding "guns" long before that troglodyte in the White House was re-elected. Why must they continue with the dog and pony show? Why are they even pretending to have a "commission" that will "investigate" what can be done about the (non-existent) "gun problem" in the United States? Wait, I know the answer to that: To appease those that have lived the past several years (and most of their lives) with their heads crammed up their own butts - aka, more than 1/2 of the population of this country - and to appease those who continue to make the fatal mistake of getting their information from the antique media in this country.
"Forgive them for they know not what they do"... Those that mock us for paying attention. Those that mock us for actually giving a damn about our country. Those that call us names or call us stupid merely because we approach life from a different point of view than their own...not because we have nothing in common, but because they don't like how we THINK about the world or don't like how we SAY what we THINK about the world. Those that would rather shut down this blog than allow me to have my say. These bastards don't come close to understanding the meaning of freedom. Maybe that's because they've never truly known it. But, if they have never truly known it, have any of us? I don't think anyone alive today in the United States has ever truly known freedom. However, I know that MANY of us understand what it means when government grows; it means we lose more freedom - that which we have left. It means we lose the OPPORTUNITY of having or keeping the few freedoms to which we currently still cling.
Any TIME you spend out of your day appeasing ANY government entity in ANY manner equals a LOSS of freedom for YOU. The fact that some of you INSIST on turning over control of parts of your life to a government entity is such a foreign concept to independent thinkers that we lack the ability (and the desire) to understand WHY you choose to do so.
Progressives whine to Conservatives, "tell me one loss of freedom that you've suffered under Obama"? There really is no rational response a Conservative can have to this level of dipshittery from these ignorants that mock and belittle others without cause simply for the sheer sport of it. The simple fact that they have to ask what freedoms have been lost proves that their ignorance is limitless. These are the bastards in this country that DESERVE to lose their freedoms...ALL OF THEM. Instead, because the radical left is in control of the executive branch of our system of government right now, the exact OPPOSITE of what SHOULD happen WILL happen. GOOD people who care about their country, their neighbors, their community, the future of their families and friends, the WORLD, these good people will be the ones to suffer the loss of more freedoms at the hand of yet another power-hungry, "I'm smarter than you; you're too stupid to know what's best for you" progressive pile of dog snack named "Barack Obama". He is going to TRY to take your guns. At a MINIMUM he is going to try to make acquiring guns and/or ammunition so UNappealing to you that you just won't bother...you'll have to dedicate so much of your TIME and TREASURE (Liberal translation: MONEY) to acquiring a gun that many people will no longer bother...because they'd prefer to continue living under the delusion that they'd much rather keep their "freedom" and not waste anymore of their TIME appeasing a government they either did or did not assist in putting into place.
Here, then, is my “madder-than-hell-and-I’m-not-going-to-take-it-anymore” program for ending gun ignorance in America:
• Reinforce the Second Amendment, the part about "the people" anyway. It’s too well written, simple, and it is impossible for gun-haters to absorb into their sick, demented skulls. It offers an absolute right to gun ownership for THE PEOPLE, as well as putting it in the context of the need for a “well-regulated militia.” We shall make our militia bring their own guns to battles. Every citizen of the United States shall be required to own and be able to properly use a firearm of some kind. And surely the Founders envisioned advancements in weaponry when they guaranteed gun rights. Owning a gun is an absolute privilege, as well as a right.
• Declare the NRA the new "4th Estate" and strongly encourage membership and participation for all citizens. Hey! The media gave up their right to be called "the 4th Estate" long ago, and the media has led to the deaths of more of us than the NRA ever could. (I would also raze all of the headquarters of all media organizations, clear the rubble and salt the earth, but that’s optional.) Make ownership of unlicensed assault rifles mandatory. If some people refused to take up their guns, that “prying the guns from their cold, dead hands” thing works for me.
• Then I would tie Dianne Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi, our esteemed Progressive leaders, to the back of a Ford pickup truck and drag them around a parking lot until they saw the light on gun control.
You know what I say to you, Barack? Suck it! (H/T Kathy Griffin) Do all you'd like to "control" guns, all you'll accomplish is putting more innocent people in harm's way. But, I guess because you're so smart, you already know that, don't you? I know you do. Why, that is your specific intent. You're about to make yourself feel a whole lot more "equal" aren't you, Barack? Leveling out the playing field for ALL in the world is your ultimate goal. Of course, in order to accomplish that goal, you know it is necessary to take the United States down a few pegs, right? Right. Can't stand a winner, can you, Barry? (Because, for a winner to exist, a loser must also be present.) Too bad you're too cocky and self-involved to comprehend what a weaker United States of America really MEANS for the rest of the world. The United States of America, as well as the rest of the world, will be suffering ramifications of your re-election for decades to come. One more time: SUCK IT, BARRY!
