Is Governor Rick Perry Wearing a Mexican Flag?
There's no doubt that Texas Governor and Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry has been attempting to rehab his image this week following his lackluster performance in the most recent FOX News/Google debate and subsequent drop in the polls. Governor Perry bombed (in the eyes of many Conservatives) when he said the following:
If you want to watch video of that debate question for yourself, go HERE.
Yesterday, Governor Perry uploaded a video to his YouTube channel that was probably intended to assist in said rehab as was this apology. However, Perry may have just created more trouble for himself.
According to his new YouTube video (below picture) Governor Perry doesn't golf, does shoot guns, jogs and plays with his dogs in his downtime. Just one problem...what's on the back of your shirt, Governor?
Here's the video from which I took the above screen shot of Governor Perry in his Mexican flag t-shirt. The t-shirt appears at about the 1:22 mark in the video below.
(H/T to HispanicPatriot on YouTube for noticing the Mexican flag that Perry is wearing in the video.)
"Every day I have Texans on that border that are doing their job (of securing the border) but, if you say that we should not educate children who have come into our state for no other reason than they've been brought there, by no fault of their own, I don't think you have a heart."

Downgraded USA Guarantees SBA Loans for Downgraded Banks
The saying "something's rotten in Denmark" comes to mind...
Earlier today a video was uploaded to the YouTube White House channel that shows Vice President Joe Biden announcing $20 billion in additional small business lending.
Here is that video (note the list of financial institutions that Biden begins to list at about 1:15 into this video):
Now, from Reuter's:
You can read the remainder of the above article from Reuter's HERE.
Citigroup and Wells Fargo were both mentioned by Biden. Is it just me or does it not seem like a good idea to back what could be be "bad money" with what could be more "bad money?" The U.S. has been downgraded and now they're (we're) backing up the loans made by 2 banks that have been downgraded and the only entity in this 3-way mixture (bank=debtee - govt=backer - small business=debtor) that hasn't been downgraded is the small business/person that is seeking a loan. Doesn't make sense to me, but, I'm far from a financial guru. Feel free to correct me in the comments below.

Now, from Reuter's:
"Moody's downgrades big banks on changed policy"
Wells Fargo's holding company senior debt was lowered only one notch to "A2" from "A1." Citigroup's short-term rating for the holding company was changed to "Prime-2," which Moody's noted is typical for companies with the same long-term rating as Citigroup.
The holding company's short-term rating had been exceptionally high because those creditors benefited the most from government support during the financial crisis, Moody's said.
Moody's changed only the short-term rating of the Citigroup holding company and left in place its ratings on the holding company's long-term debt, as well its short- and long-term ratings on the main Citibank subsidiary.
Moody's said the long-term outlook on the three banks' ratings remains negative.
Wells Fargo responded with a statement noting Moody's actions on some of its obligations reflected a change in the agency's view of government support, as opposed to a new opinion of the bank itself.
Bank of America said through a spokesman that the downgrade was due to forces beyond its control and asserted it has a healthy liquidity cushion of $400 billion. All of its planned borrowing needs have been prefunded for the rest of 2011, the spokesman said.
Citigroup said in a statement that Moody's downgrade affects less than 1 percent of its funding. The decision will not affect its funding needs, it said.

Governor Sarah Palin: "Mark my word, it is going to be an unconventional type of election process."
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin appeared with Sean Hannity on FOX News last night.
"I do think, Sean, this is going to be such an unconventional election cycle. Because this has been such an unconventional administration that we are fighting so hard and so committed to replacing. It's not just the administration but it's the Senate, those who have followed like sheep behind President Obama and allowed him to do what he has done in terms of harm to our economy. We are committed to increasing the number of fiscal conservatives in the House of Representatives also. It is a big agenda out there for those of us who are so extremely concerned about the future of our country and whether we are candidates or whether we are supportive of the right candidacies, we're going to be working so hard in these next 14 months. But, a lot is going to happen in these next 14 months. Mark my word, it is going to be an unconventional type of election process."
Feds Offer $10,000 Reward for Info in Michigan Car Bombing
Federal investigators are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in a car bombing in Monroe, Michigan Tuesday evening that injured 3 people. A Monroe attorney and his two sons, 11 & 13-years-old, were driving down a Monroe city street in their SUV when the car bomb exploded.
From MonroeNews.com

Authorities zero in on Monroe car bomb suspect
Here is that 911 call (with an unfeeling, out-of-touch dispatcher that may not have his job for much longer).
From MonroeNews.com
"This was not an intent to injure; this was an intent to kill," said a family friend who declined to be identified. "Everybody's going to make it, but there's a lot of heartache ahead. I'm still in shock."
Mr. Chappell was released from the hospital before 11 a.m.
The ATF agency is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information relating to the arrest and conviction of the offender(s) responsible for this incident.
Individuals that have information are being asked to notify the ATF via the following telephone numbers:
1-800-ATFBOMB or 1-313-202-3400
Several attorneys and members of the legal community who know Mr. Chappell said this morning they were told by federal agents to not discuss the case with media.
The explosive device detonated as the three were driving, apparently on their way to football practice, around 5:40 p.m. on E. Elm near I-75. Monroe police would acknowledge only that the three occupants were in serious condition. Mr. Chappell is a football coach in the area's Catholic Youth Organization.
The Detroit Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms is investigating the case and released no information this morning.
Sources, however, said Mr. Chappell had been receiving threats. He is a divorce attorney also involved with several high-profile Monroe County cases, including hot dog stand owners who sued the city in 2009 after they were banned from operating their carts.
It has not been determined if a suspect in the bombing has been developed, but police sources said there are so-called persons of interest.
It is believed the device was placed underneath the passenger side of the Chappell car. One of the boys was sitting in the passenger seat and suffered serious lower extremity injuries, especially to his legs.
The bomb may have contained shrapnel, because all three victims suffered wounds from flying debris, officials said.
There were no witnesses in the vicinity where the bomb exploded. It was believed that Mr. Chappell was able to drag his sons from the car, which quickly became engulfed in flames. The shell of the car is being stored at a secure area.
Monroe Police Chief Tom Moore said the case is in its early stages and ATF officials are the lead investigators.
*****UPDATE*****
Authorities zero in on Monroe car bomb suspect
The investigation appears to be focusing on the type of device used and why Mr. Chappell was targeted. He has an office in Sylvania, Ohio, and shares another office in Monroe, and has a wide range of clientele.
Because the bomb was so destructive, piecing it together to see if it was detonated by a timer or perhaps a cell phone has been difficult, investigators said. The bomb was filled with shrapnel.
Mr. Chappell, 42, suffered the least severe injuries and was able to pull his sons from the burning wreckage. He is believed to have placed a 911 call asking dispatchers to hurry because his boys were bleeding.
Here is that 911 call (with an unfeeling, out-of-touch dispatcher that may not have his job for much longer).

Glenn Beck Supports Sarah Palin (Re: Brian Sack)
This past Monday, September 12, 2011, Glenn Beck launched his new "internet network" called GBTV. Glenn is joined on his new, 5-day-a-week, 2-hour "TV show" (on the internet) by several personalities. One of those personalities is Brian Sack. Brian is currently doing a comedy bit at the end of every new "Glenn Beck Show" on GBTV. I KNEW that Sack would eventually say something that would make some conservatives react in the EXACT way in which some now are. And, he has. Already. 5 days in.
If you're not familiar with Brian Sack, he's been doing comedy bits on Glenn Beck's Insider Extreme (now known as GBTV) for about 2 years or so. He also used to occasionally join Glenn on his TV show on CNN Headline News.
The remarks that Sack makes about Governor Sarah Palin in the video below are the subject of this "controversy." (I'll post the entire Brian Sack comedy segment at the end of this post.) Glenn's intent, by including comedy as a part of his new venture on GBTV, is to steal-away some of the Stewart/Colbert crowd from Comedy Central, in which, Brian Sack will play an integral role. (I also think that Steven Crowder may join Beck...but, I have zero proof of this. It's just a hunch.) :)
Watch the video:
The best line from the last Republican debate was from Herman Cain. Each candidate was asked what they would bring to the White House. Herman said: "A sense of humor, because America is too uptight." Amen, Mr. Cain.
Here's a few comments under the above video as it was posted by Breitbart HERE. These two comments actually focus on Andrew Breitbart, not Glenn.
And,
I became aware of this "scandal" via a post made by "Mark America" in a Sarah Palin Facebook group. Mark had written about the comedy segment in his blog:
Go HERE to read the rest of the above post by "Mark America."
Here are a few of the comments underneath Mark's posts on Facebook (I will not identify these commenters by name, as these comments are posted under their real names):
If this is the type of "support" that Sarah Palin is going to have to expect out of her so-called "supporters," she's not going to be President. People that get THIS put-off by a 1-minute comedy segment on a new internet show aren't poised to provide the type of intelligent and coherent support that Governor Palin is going to need once she enters the race. I believe those that are this thin-skinned simply don't have it in themselves to be of any help to the Governor. I don't see how they possibly could be helpful while whining about such trivialities. That being said, I KNOW that "Mark America" IS a very PRO-Palin blogger and he's a contributor at Conservatives4Palin. I'm actually quite taken aback by his stance on something that is this inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. I must say that I'm also a little discouraged by the comments of the other Palin supporters that found it necessary to complain right along with him about something so trivial. Perhaps Michele Bachmann's "titanium spine" will be available for loan in the not-too-distant future? Buck-up, little campers. It's going to be a long road.
I understand that comedy can be cruel. I understand that I'm not going to like every single thing that every single comedian says. In fact, there are very FEW comedians that I can stomach any longer because of their disgusting liberal politics. I also understand that ultra-sensitive people can't handle some things that are said by comedians...no matter what their political slant. The conservatives that are freaking out and "going off on" Beck over these few lines by Brian Sack is, I think, quite childish. I also think it is hardly fitting behavior for, what should be by now, hardened Palin supporters. I mean, how are you folks going to handle the campaign once Sarah gets in the race?
The bit was one of the MILDEST I've seen where Sarah and her family are concerned. Good grief people, lighten up. How will you ever survive once Sarah is IN the White House? Do you think the attacks on her will DECREASE? Ha! - if you do.
Granted, the media and everyone else who has an agenda, and those on the left who fear Governor Palin, have attacked her in every way possible. It doesn't seem like there's much left for them to do to her. But, they will not stop. Their attacks will be just as vitriolic, if not more so, as they have been over the past few years. Sarah Palin resides in their heads "rent free" (h/t Rush Limbaugh) and she isn't moving out anytime soon.
My skin has toughened over the years that Sarah has been in the national news. Hell, it was Glenn Beck that introduced me to Sarah Palin long before John McCain had ever heard her name. I've been a supporter of Sarah's ever since THEN because I liked what I heard. A ballsy, anti-corruption, no-nonsense, not-a-friend-of-the-good-ol'-boys, can't-be-bought, female Governor? Hell, yes! I LOVE her!
I've only watched 2 of the new Glenn Beck Shows so far (been busy this week) and have yet to see the entire episode in which this comedy segment aired (but I will). I've only seen the clip-in-question that I posted above (and the full comedy segment I've posted at the end of this post). However, I've already wondered if there will come a time in the not too distant future where I may NOT be watching the last few minutes of the show because Brian Sack is sometimes NOT funny. Sometimes he is. Sometimes I'm in the mood for Brian Sack. Sometimes I'm not. Sometimes I'll have the time. Sometimes I won't. I kinda figure it'll take Brian some time to meld with his audience, too.
Even IF I do stop watching the comedy segments because I may eventually find Brian Sack unappealing, I wouldn't dream of cancelling GBTV. I've been a subscriber (to Insider Extreme) for about 3 yrs (or more). What I get out of GBTV (Insider Extreme) is worth MORE to me than a few bad/dumb/stupid/below-the-belt/unfunny jokes by Brian Sack and whoever else may happen to join the comedy team.
I've been a listener of Glenn's since his radio show went national shortly after 9/11/01. In that time, I may have missed a total of 10-15 shows (in 10 years). When I listen, I actually hear what he says. Over the years I've come across MANY people who call themselves "listeners" of Beck's but, I swear to God, they don't listen...they merely tune-in to the show.
Some of the comments underneath different news stories, blogs and facebook posts about this "controversy" where commenters have stated that Glenn Beck is NOT a supporter of Palin's. I'm here to tell those of you that believe that: your claims are ludicrous.
Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin are most definitely "friendly." Glenn has spoken a few times about different instances where the two of them have emailed each other back and forth about differing subjects. Sarah Palin also stood with Glenn at Restoring Honor on 8/28 (2010) at the National Mall. A few days after that event, Sarah Palin was a guest of Glenn's onstage at one of his shows in Anchorage, AK 9/11 (2010). In fact, this coming October 7th both Sarah and Glenn are scheduled to appear at an event in St. Louis.
(Perhaps the above statement provides us a little insight as to when Sarah Palin will announce her candidacy? Not until after October 7th?)
Glenn has been pretty lukewarm about any of the presidential candidates. He's been "interested" mostly (so far) in Bachmann, Perry, and Santorum. However, *I think* that is only because Sarah is not yet in the race. I KNOW that Glenn will be a supporter of Sarah's once she announces her candidacy. (He doesn't "endorse" candidates. He may eventually say who he'll vote for, but, he doesn't "endorse.")
I know that Glenn will support Sarah because he has ALWAYS BEEN a supporter of Sarah's. He's stood up for her time and time again and on numerous occasions he has taken on those that have bashed her. In fact, Glenn has been a supporter of Sarah Palin's since June of 2008. Name ANY other national media figure that can say that.
Anyone that says Glenn Beck is not a supporter of Sarah Palin is simply ignorant and couldn't be more wrong. I'll post links below to back-up everything I've said about Glenn's long-time and continuing support for Governor Palin.
As for you conservatives that call Glenn Beck a "phony" because he cries sometimes...grow up. Or better yet, man up...you sound like liberal-Beck-bashers when you talk like that. If you truly believe that Beck's crying is "phony," you may just BE a dishonest and incapable-of-making-an-honest-assessment-based-on-the-evidence-that-is-right-in-front-of-your-face liberal.

That's enough, right? If you can read or view all of the above evidence and still believe that Glenn Beck is NOT a supporter of Governor Palin's, you are delusional. You should just give up the fight now and stop paying attention to politics. Your participation only clouds the water.

I also can't stop myself from including this video I made and uploaded to YouTube on April 20th of this year. I called it. The title of this video is: "Glenn Beck to Challenge Stewart & Colbert"

I'm pretty disappointed in Breitbart, ever since the falling out with Beck they've been "subtly" sniping at him..Can't you guys forgive and move on, you're both on the same side and this is NOT good for our team to have you sniping at each other. Glenn has never disparaged Breitbart, at least not publicly and AB should not do so either. I love you both and I do NOT want to choose which one of you that I will stick with so get your problems behind you and quit being petty for gosh sakes, we NEED you to work towards the same goals. Please have it out once and for all or just freakin' apologize and put the testosterone behind you...sheesh, MEN.
Comment posted on Breitbart by: "Mrs. Tank"
(For my RWKT Facebook friends, for the record, "Mrs. Tank" is NOT me.)
And,
Well this is just pathetic now. I'm talking about Breitbart. Breitbart has an agenda. He should instead report whatever is true. But ever since Breitbart's little spat with Beck, he has not reported on any of Glenn's successes: especially 8/24. And now this? Are ppl not allowed to say anything about Palin? God forbid. This is sad Breitbart. Breitbart is just jealous of Beck's success. You guys can stay on the petty side of Breitbart... I'll stick with Beck for news.

I became aware of this "scandal" via a post made by "Mark America" in a Sarah Palin Facebook group. Mark had written about the comedy segment in his blog:
I am deeply disappointed in this, and while the credit card subscription is still freshly minted, I am now demanding a refund. The lesson is simple to those who wish to succeed in new media: You can’t simply dump on the people who have supported you and expect there to be no blow-back.
Beck will likely offer that he didn’t know what Brian Sack would say, but during the un-funny comic’s routine, he employed a graphic depicting the Palin family with a whole new member in answer to McGinniss’ smear-filled book. It wasn’t funny, and many in the audience weren’t amused either. If you must, you can watch a clip from the show on the GodandCountryFirst blog, but I won’t be re-posting it here.
This is your ground-breaking network, Mr. Beck? I’ve tuned in either live, or in replayed on demand, and this was shocking to me. It’s not that I don’t expect your show to be fun, but Brian Sack channeling SNL’s weekend update while heaping smears on the Palin family isn’t exactly that for which I subscribed. I am certain there are others who feel the same, and I think you can reasonably expect them to say something about it. This was crass, inaccurate, vulgar, and worst of all, a move in collaboration with the popular culture you said you’re trying to defeat or transform with your new network.
Go HERE to read the rest of the above post by "Mark America."
Here are a few of the comments underneath Mark's posts on Facebook (I will not identify these commenters by name, as these comments are posted under their real names):
Wasn't it Brietbart in the "Undefeated" that called men on our side eunichs for not defending Sarah. I'm not one. I'm angrier about this clip by Brian than I've been about anything in a while. Mark, you aren't one either...And,
Beck has never really been a friend to Sarah. Don't watch him. Make it hurt where he lives. Goddamn phony crybaby. And,
I learned a lot from Glenn Beck. He helped change my focus and perceptions. I will always respect him for that. When he left FoxNews I seldom listened to his radio program and I was contemplating a subscription to GBTV. Not any more. I am very saddened by this. Very. And,
Beck is supporting Rick Perry, even did an intervew with the dirt-bags at Red State Quit giving him the benefit of the doubt. He knew EXACTLY what he was doing.

Al Gore's Last Ditch Effort to Rescue His Climate Lie
Last I heard, Al Gore had, so far, profited somewhere in the area of $100 million dollars from his self-invented, 30-year-old lie about global warming. There has even been speculation that Gore could become the world's first "carbon billionaire." I guess once this guy gets an idea in his head its difficult to change his mind.
No matter how many politically-motivated, lying, liberal "climate scientists" he has on his "side" I'll never buy into his lies. I'm a little hard-headed, too, Al. Oh, and I was blessed by God with common sense. Sorry you weren't, Al.
Gore is now embarking on a last ditch effort to attempt to resurrect and re-new his faltering life's mission.
The article above is from Reuters.
I can only imagine that as every tornado season rearranges lives and cities (as has been the case since the beginning of time), and as new hurricanes form (as has been the case since the beginning of time), or when record rainfall is received (as has been the case since the beginning of time) that Algore is sitting in his carbon-emitting lair rubbing his evil hands together thinking how great each catastrophe is for him and the preponderance of his money-making lie. For it is only extreme weather events like those I listed with which Algore seems to be concerned. Never mind the many weather records that have stood since weather record-keeping began.
One of Algore's biggest hypocrisies is to deny (deny, deny, deny) the correlation between fair weather and "climate change." If there is a mild winter, for example, this can not be used as evidence that "climate change" does NOT exist. Only record snowfall and extreme temperatures, for example, may be used to PROVE his case. The opposite can never be used to DISPROVE his fraudulent claims. I suppose it is his aforementioned lack of common sense that permits this, as well as the astounding level of hypocrisy that encapsulates this squalid movement and those at the forefront of it.
The climate has always changed and will always change...no matter what humans do...or what they don't do. Prior to the invention of the combustion engine, the number one "carbon emitter," tornadoes, hurricanes, massive snowfall, record high and low temperatures, tropical storms and depressions, floods, severe drought, and severe storms and weather of all types existed.
Take a look at this "top-ten list" of deadliest natural disasters:
If you remove the four earthquakes and the dam failure in 1975 from the above list, what is left to prove that "global warming" or "climate change" has affected our weather? Nothing. (For the record, there are members of the global warming cult that DO believe that "climate change" affects earthquakes and volcanoes.)
Actually, if Algore was really concerned about the future of mankind, he'd be welcoming of warmer temperatures because EXTREME COLD is the number one killer in the United States. Shame on you, Al.
Due to his lies about the negative effect of carbon dioxide on our environment, I must also suppose that Algore knows nothing of photosynthesis. Something we all learned about in the 7th grade. The video below shows the effects of carbon dioxide (CO2) on plant life.
Seems to me, when it comes to carbon dioxide, more is better. But, why let a little PROVEN and ACCEPTED science get in the way of an agenda and massive profit, right Al?
Algore's climate lie has the potential to change the way you live. Politicians that buy into his bullcrap are in a position to change the American way of life by placing restrictions on carbon emissions by "carbon producers" all over the country. (As soon as they figure out a way to tax cow farts, I'm certain they will.) Once energy producers in this country are forced to pay for their "excessive carbon emissions" (deemed as such by the EPA) the price of EVERY SINGLE THING we buy via the "cap and trade" scheme will increase. It won't be the energy producers' pockets that these new "taxes" come out of, it will be ours.
I suggest, that this week, while Algore is asking us to "hand over control of (our) social networking accounts on Facebook and Twitter to it for 24 hours to deliver Gore's message" that we, instead, dedicate that 24-hour period to ELIMINATING Algore's LIE by sharing the videos I've included in this post. Of course, you could just repeatedly re-post this article and kill all birds with one stone. For you liberals, that is what is known as a metaphor. No actual birds will be harmed...unlike their fate when flying around your "green" wind turbines as evidenced in the next video.
In the meantime, while Algore's lie is languishing before us...we have this: The full-length movie "The Great Global Warming Swindle." I highly recommend watching AND sharing it with your friends...especially on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Let's help Algore "spread the word." Isn't "social networking" fun? :)
Rather than provide a complete explanation of the following videos, I'm just going to post them and their titles as important videos that if you haven't seen already, and you are on the fence about the whole "man-made global warming" subject, you should see. If you have relatives, friends or neighbors that aren't quite sure whether or not "global warming" or "climate change" is man-made or man-caused, forward this post to them for them to see. This is the side of the debate that doesn't get any coverage from the mainstream media. It is up to us to spread the other side and let people make up their own minds. This is one reason I don't want to provide any commentary about the following videos; I've made my position clear on where I stand on the whole debate.
"Updated with Slides - Lord Christopher Monckton Speaking in St. Paul" (This original video had none of the "slides" from Lord Monckton's speech. The original video only showed him speaking from the lectern and never cut to the "slides" to which he refers to quite often in the video.)

In this video, Lord Monckton challenges Algore AGAIN to a debate. The video was posted to YouTube on October 30, 2009. Algore still has not taken Lord Monckton up on his challenge. Nor will he. Ever.
Yes, I'm a big fan of Lord Monckton. But, he's not the only naysayer of the global warming/climate change scam. There's this guy, Patrick Moore, co-founder of the environmental organization Greenpeace. Yes, Greenpeace.
You can buy Patrick Moore's e-book "Confessions of a Greenpeace Dropout: The Making of a Sensible Environmentalist" here from Amazon for $9.99. The real, physical, hardbound book costs around of $34.00.
You can also find a little more information about Patrick Moore from this post on TheBlaze.com where the two videos above from FOX News are embedded.
Or, I'm sure you can use Google the same as I. When searching either Lord Christopher Monckton or Patrick Moore please keep in mind the overwhelming liberal agenda of the "believers" of the global warming movement. These two good men have been smeared by the left in almost every possible way. Listen to and read their OWN words IN CONTEXT and decide for yourself how you choose to interpret the information they offer. For example, searching for "debunking Lord Monckton" will result in 80 videos. Listen to the evidence and decide for yourself.

Gore is now embarking on a last ditch effort to attempt to resurrect and re-new his faltering life's mission.
(Reuters) - Former Vice President Al Gore will renew his 30-year campaign to convince skeptics of the link between climate change and extreme weather events this week in a 24-hour global multi-media event.
"24 Hours of Reality" will broadcast a presentation by Al Gore every hour for 24 hours across 24 different time zones from Wednesday to Thursday, with the aim of convincing climate change deniers and driving action against global warming among households, schools and businesses.
The campaign also asks people to hand over control of their social networking accounts on Facebook and Twitter to it for 24 hours to deliver Gore's message.
"There will be 200 new slides arguing the connection between more extreme weather and climate change," Trewin Restorick, chief executive of the event's UK partner Global Action Plan, told Reuters on Monday.
"There will be a full-on assault on climate skeptics, exploring where they get their funding from."
Gore tried to raise awareness about global warming in the 2006 documentary film "An Inconvenient Truth," which earned $49 million at the box office worldwide. The film was criticized by some climate change skeptics for being one-sided.
Concern about climate change in the United States, the world's second biggest emitter, has fallen steadily to 48 percent in 2011, from 62 percent in 2007, an opinion poll showed in August.
Gore's presentation will be available at: climaterealityproject.org/

Obama Lies Again - Boots on the Ground in Libya
Once again, President Barack Obama has told another lie. Is it because he just has no clue what he's doing? Is it because his speechwriters don't have a clue what is going on? If they don't, why does Obama read their words? Exactly.
Earlier this year, when President Obama announced United States involvement in the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) operation in Libya he promised that there will be "no boots on the ground in Libya." Now, today, we find out that there most certainly are Americans on the ground in Libya. What gives, Mr. President?

Now, today, we find out that there most certainly are Americans on the ground in Libya. What gives, Mr. President?
From FOX News:
Despite repeated assurances from President Obama and military leaders that the U.S. would not send uniformed military personnel into Libya, four U.S. service members arrived on the ground in Tripoli over the weekend.
According to Pentagon spokesman Capt. John Kirby, the four unidentified troops are there working under the State Department's chief of mission to assist in rebuilding the U.S. Embassy.
Kirby noted the embassy in Tripoli was badly damaged during the conflict between Muammar Qaddafi's forces and the rebels.
Two of the military personnel are explosive-ordnance experts who will be used to disable any explosives traps left in the embassy. The other two are "general security," according to Kirby.
Kirby also made clear these troops are in no way part of a military operation on the ground. They are armed, however, if for some reason they need to protect themselves.
The troops are only expected to be there for a short while. After the assessment of the embassy is complete, they are expected to leave.

2:02 "As a part of this effort the United States will contribute our unique capabilities at the front end of the mission to protect Libyan civilians and enable the enforcement of a no-fly zone that will be lead by our international partners. And as I said yesterday, we will NOT, I repeat, we will NOT deploy any U.S. troops on the ground."
